Here is some odds and ends. First up, The sign that was on the doors to Splash Mountian when it was delayed in its opening in Spring 1989. Here is a shot of DTD from the esplanade. Whats different about this shot today?

1984 Revisited

Today's post goes with yesterdays. I always enjoy looking at my souvenir guides from the past. Disneyland was at a crossroads in 1984. The old management was out and the new was in. Things at the park were about to change fast. In 1984, the finishing of Fantasyland was happening with the opening of the new Alice in Wonderland attraction in April and the big new attraction for the summer was World Premier CircleVision presenting American Journeys. Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) had taken over sponsorship replacing AT&T. I can still remember the dark hues of burgandy and orange in the waiting area........

Odds and Ends

This first shot was taken in 1963 by my dad. Although the color has faded you can still make out alot of detail. To the left you can see the Fantasyland Autopia marque and to the right is a good look at the Motor Boat Cruise.

And here is a shot of the Autopia construction in the late '90s.
