Main Street, USA! West Side! April, 1988

Here is part two of the Main Street USA series from April 1988. First up is the old locker building that was behind The Emporium. I think that this facade was much more in line with the feel of Town Square. What bothers me most about the Emporium addition in the early 1990's is that the style of the facades are more Queen Anne than Victorian.
The Emporium in its original colors.

The Crystal Arcade with it's 1980's colors.

The next two shots show the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor. This was during the first Blast To the Past Spring Promotion in 1988. The Parlor was dressed up as a 1950's malt shop.

The Sunkist Citrus House!

Thanks for posting the other half; great series! I didn't realize that the architecture for Bekins/Global lasted this long.
