Fantasyland 1987

Here are a few from April 1987. First up a view of "it's a small world" from the Videopolis entrance. Note the absence of the toy shop. It was much more clean back then too. Also note how level the ground is because there is no Toontown yet.
Next up is a view from the Skyway to Tomorrowland. Here is a view of the roof of Peter Pan/Mr. Toad/Alice.

No toy shop, but Videopolis truly had one of the weirdest merchandise locations. A tricked-out pick-up truck loaded up with stuff parked just outside the dance floor, across from the food spot ("Yumz" if I remember right.)

I worked the first churro wagon in Disneyland, also adjacent to Videopolis. Love to see shots of the Park in the early to mid '80s before it became crammed full of junk. Thanks!

Love the Small World area BEFORE Toontown. They shoulda left "Toontown" a backstage area. Videopolis was pretty cool back in 1987, too. It is also nice to see this area of the Park without all those weight parade light poles that line the parade route. They were put up for "Light Tragic" and regrettably never got taken down. Talk about needlessly cluttering the open view of Small World and the Matterhorn that you used to get! Ack.
